The mysterious case of an untrustworthy update
So, it seems iOS 11.3 update breaks iPhone 8 devices with third party-repaired screens.
As a tester, the idea of Apple not doing enough regression testing before releasing an update is already quite disturbing.
However, it might be even worse if it was confirmed that they have been releasing updates which break devices on purpose, just to prevent customers from doing third-party repair.
Which kind of value would they be providing to their customers by means of such an unfair (and absolutely unacceptable) practice?
