Extreme Agility – Post #3: Collaboration
If you hire smart people to perform jobs which are supposed to improve your system/organization, but then you don't let them do anything without your permission, chances are everybody is wasting their time.
After all, in the words of Peter Drucker, the fact that "they know more about their job than anybody else in the organization is part of the definition of knowledge workers..."
So, as you can guess, I won't ask for permission to share my favourite quote from chapter 3, Collaboration, of Extreme Agility, by Michael Küsters... 😉
"Try discovering the communication deficits which make a permission structure look like a plausible solution, then resolve the root cause."
